What year model is the iMac?

see > Identify your iMac model - Apple Support

Safari in older macOS versions is no longer supported or secure.

To update the iMac, see > How to download and install macOS - Apple Support

If you have an older iMac that can not run a later macOS and Safari?

Then you need to look for a third party browser like FireFox, Brave or Chrome that is.
