I want my Face ID to work

Make sure the entirety of the notch on the top of your phone is clean (provided you already have face ID setup).

If you don't have face ID set up, or you're unsure, do the following:

Open the Settings app > Face ID & Passcode > enter your password if applicable > Setup Face ID/Reset Face ID > follow the instructions onscreen.
