Unlock iPhone from spectrum

They told you wrong, only the carrier it is locked to can unlock it. Call them back and escalate the call to someone who knows what they are talking about.

Seems you've bene scammed, though a full-assumption on my part. You were sold a device that was not properly preset for selling. So, contact ebay, requesting that the seller be held accountable, a dn that your get your money back. Spectrum is not being honest with you.

You bought a used phone and the previous owner was using Spectrum as their carrier.

The phone is locked to Spectrum. Only Spectrum can unlock the phone.

The previous owner should have unlocked the phone through Spectrum.....before....it was sold to you, but now you will have to take your chances that the previous owner's account was in good standing with Spectrum.

If it was not, then that is why Spectrum is telling you that they will not unlock the phone. They won't....and you are stuck with a useless phone.

If it were me, I would return the phone for a refund from Ebay. I think you are in for nothing but pain and suffering if you try to make this phone work your use.

The bottom line......Apple is not involved here. They are not a carrier. They cannot carrier lock a phone or carrier unlock a phone. It's that simple.
