Assistance Needed: Removing Motherboard from iMac G4 PowerPC

Dear Apple Community,

I am in the process of dismantling my iMac G4 PowerPC (17-inch 1.25 GHz edition, also known as the lamp iMac), and I've encountered a challenge while trying to remove the motherboard from the base. Despite my efforts, I can't seem to figure out if there's a hidden screw or some other element securing the motherboard to the base.

I would greatly appreciate it if someone with experience in this area could provide guidance on how to successfully remove the motherboard from this particular model of the iMac. Any insight or tips you can share would be extremely helpful.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Welcome!

There are four screws holding the LB. Three are metal T-15 and located near the edge of the board.

The fourth is white nylon T-15 and somewhat "inland" from the board edge near a daughterboard. I suspect that is the one tripping you up

We (other end users) are not allowed to link to take-apart sites that are not Apple's, but I recommend searching the web for "imac g4 disassembly" to find illustrated instructions, even videos.
