Navigation voice for maps through car play too loud

While the navigation voice is speaking, turn down the volume on the head unit in the car. The voice navigation volume and media volume are separate.

There are a couple of ways to control the volume when you're using CarPlay. You can do so from your iPhone or from the vehicle volume controls: Use CarPlay with your iPhone – Apple Support

1. Restart your iPhone - Apple Support and your car. 
2. Check Siri Settings and make sure it's enabled: Use Siri on all your Apple devices – Apple Support
3. If your iPhone isn't detected by CarPlay, make sure CarPlay isn't restricted. Go to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions, tap Allowed Apps and make sure CarPlay is enabled.
4. Go to Settings > General > CarPlay, tap your car and then tap Forget This Car. Use CarPlay with your iPhone – Apple Support
5. Check to see if your CarPlay stereo is using the latest firmware from your car's manufacturer. If needed, check your them for more information. Update firmware and test again.
