Batteries degrade over time with usage due to chemical aging, that's just how they work.

You can expect about a 1% drop per month with average use on an iPhone.

Apple recommends replacing it when it reaches 80%. To check your battery health, go to Settings > Battery > Battery Health.

If you are experiencing rapid battery health degradation on your iPhone 14 Pro, there are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:

  1. Check Battery Usage: Go to Settings > Battery > Battery Usage to identify which apps or processes are consuming the most battery power. If you notice any specific apps using an unusually high amount of power, try force-quitting them or disabling unnecessary background refresh for those apps.
  2. Restart your iPhone: Sometimes, a simple restart can help resolve temporary software glitches that may be affecting battery performance. Press and hold the power button (or the side button and one of the volume buttons on iPhones without a Home button) until the slider appears. Slide it to power off your iPhone, then turn it back on after a few seconds.
  3. Update iOS: Make sure that your iPhone 14 Pro has the latest iOS software update installed. Apple periodically releases updates that can include bug fixes and optimizations, which may improve battery performance. Go to Settings > General > Software Update to check for any available updates.
  4. Reset All Settings: If the battery health issue persists, you can try resetting all settings on your iPhone. This will not erase your data but will reset all personalized settings to their default values. Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings and confirm the action. Note that you will need to reconfigure any customized settings afterward.
  5. Check Background App Refresh and Location Services: Limiting background activity and location services can help conserve battery life. Go to Settings > General > Background App Refresh and disable it for apps that don't require background updates. Similarly, go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services and review which apps have access to your location. Consider disabling location access for apps that don't need it constantly.
  6. Restore or Factory Reset: If none of the above steps help, you can try restoring your iPhone as a last resort. You can either perform a regular restore using iTunes/Finder on a computer or use the "Erase All Content and Settings" option in Settings > General > Reset. Keep in mind that these methods will erase all data from your iPhone, so make sure to create a backup beforehand.

If the battery health continues to drop rapidly despite trying these troubleshooting steps, it's recommended to reach out to Apple Support or visit an authorized service provider. They can provide further assistance and assess if there is a hardware issue with your iPhone's battery.
