Which iOS does iPad 9 use - which iOS does iPad 10 use?

Both models support the latest iPadOS version, now 16.5.1, and will support iPadOS 17, when available (most likely next autumn).

They use whichever iPadOS version is installed on them.

They can both update to the current iPadOS 16.5.1
