spotlight search not showing apps

Recently my spotlight search on my iPhone 13 Pro Max stopped showing my installed apps. Sometimes I do get the app and the white x’d out icon but it won’t open the app. See example pic for a search for twitter. I’ve tried everything I can find online about checking search settings and making sure screen time doesn’t have restrictions. I feel like I’ve tried every suggestion I can find short of resetting the phone. Any suggestions?

Hey Drkl0rd,

Given the steps you've taken, we'd recommend taking a moment to review the "Change search settings" section of Use Search on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

"Change search settings

You can change the search settings to limit which apps and results appear while you're searching. Here's how:

  1. Go to Settings and tap Siri & Search.
  2. Scroll down and select an app.
  3. Then select Show App in Search, Show Content in Search, Show on Home Screen, Suggest App, or Suggest Notifications.

To turn off Siri Suggestions for all apps, go to Settings > Siri & Search, and turn off the settings you want."

If after doing so the issue persist, contact Apple Support directly to take a closer look.
