Magic Mouse 2 doesn't track well, then last night not at all.

Mac Mini 2, running Ventura 13.4.1. Posting this so someone else with the same problem can see what has worked for me (so far).

I'll plagiarize someone else's post from a couple of years ago, as it matches the symptoms and fixes I've attempted:

"The tracking feels very slow even though it's on the fastest setting, the pointer isn't moving smoothly. I've tried restarting it and my mac, and cleaning the sensor with compressed air."

If I blow into the sensor, sometimes it will correct the problem, but not for long. Last night I was barely able to get the cursor to move from the upper right corner of the screen. Finally was able to get to the bluetooth settings via CMD+Space and Spotlight search, and connected an old Samsung mouse. That has worked fine, and I now wonder why I spent so much just to have an Apple logo on the mouse. Even when working, it's not special.

In an hours long search to find a solution that works, I found one person used alcohol and a cotton tip swab to clean out the sensor area. Another person used tap water. Both said it worked well. So I tried it with a swab and 90% propyl alcohol.

So far so good! If it doesn't work, I'll exercise the Apple Care I paid dearly for.
