These can be seen in both the Health and Fitness app! In my opinion, the Fitness app is better for viewing you activity trends. It supports

  1. Move
  2. Exercise
  3. Stand
  4. Distance
  5. Stand Minutes
  6. Cardio Fitness
  7. Walking Pace
  8. Running Pace

iPhone recently added support for the move ring and it always supported steps and distance! Which means technically you do not need your Apple Watch on to record this data and see the trends. But you will also always need your iPhone on you to track this data. Apple Watch is needed for the other categories.

  1. Open Fitness app
  2. Tap on Summary
  3. Scroll down and tap on any trend

If the trend is "active" it'll show you the yearly and daily averages and some other data, like if the trend is up or down. If you don't have an active trend, as seen above in my "Running Pace," it'll explain how to start getting a trend. In the case of running, you need a valid running workout, once a week for six months.

I hope this helps!

Hello HelpmepleaseIneedit0123,

It depends on the trend, but yes, most trends require you to wear your Apple Watch or at least you need to be able to log the data within the Health app

If you can add data into the Health app that should work as well. Apple Watch is automatically calculating and measuring these statistics though so it is so much easier to wear the Apple Watch and have these updated automatically.

There are trends within the Health app and Fitness app. What app and trend are you interested in learning about?
