ReLinking issue

Hello,

I used to store all my media on an external disk, but that disk got corrupted and i can't use it anymore.

All my media that i stored was from my photos.

So in my project, i have lost all the file. However, i thought i would easily link back my media when i reimport those photos into my desktop and relink.

But it doesn't work, it say "video image frequency doesn't correspond".

It's weird cause when i try to relink my media, the name that appear change for a weird one, so maybe that's the issue somehow.

The media here doesn't have the same name.

Any help would be appreciate

The long name is the Photos naming system to create a unique ID. The IMG name looks like an iPhone name.

Did you just drag the files from the Photos application? Try using the export function or sharing the files with AirDrop.

Salut,

Je crois que le problème peut venir de la façon dont la première exportation des clip à partir de Photo s’est fait. Soit l’option « meilleure compatibilité » a été cochée ou dans les réglages de l’application Photo, soit non. Mais si ce réglage est différent pour la deuxième exportation, la fréquence a pu être modifiée de 60 ips vers 30 ips, ce qui expliquerait la différence entre les deux versions des fichiers.

Tu peux tester en sélectionnant les deux options pour exporter deux versions du clip, ouvre QuickTime et vérifie les informations pour chacun des clips.

i tried the export function as you mentioned, but it still doesn't link.

Yes but you see something like IMG_5089.mov for example when you drag and drop from the photos app.

Not something like 9613BCFE-A3C3-4E72-8A8B-839FAD14FCB1.mov like in the second screen that i shared.

Yes, i am dragging my photo/video from the Photos app to a folder in my desktop and trying to relink.

I also tried to airdrop my video to my desktop, put it in a folder and relink, still the same pb.

What do you mean by export function?

Btw is it normal that this long name is shown? I didn't see that in every video i saw

Maybe this name change is linked with the corruption of the external disk?

Salut,

Je me suis connecté sur icloud et j'ai téléchargé la vidéo avec l'option meilleurs compatibilité et original non modifié et quand je relink rien n'y fait...

Je ne vois pas ou je peux modifier les fps d'une vidéo pour tester

I see the Photos name when I drag and drop from the application.

There is an export function in the Photos File menu.
