Skipping Issue with Xbox One and Logitech Trackball on M2 Max MBP

I've been running into issue regarding bluetooth using a Logitech bluetooth trackball and a bluetooth Xbox controller. Both seem to skip and lag when connected to an M2 MBP Max. Connected to a 2019 13" MBP the issue does not reproduce in the same environment so I feel confident I can rule out interference. Oddly, if the peripheral is below the laptop things function better. Any thoughts on why this might be occurring? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
