Need new OS for my IMAC. Need to download newer OS than my OS 10.13.6. All said I can't download to my computer, that I need something newer than 10.13.6. I'm going in circles.

An iMac 5,1 from Late 2006 can update to macOS 10.7 Lion, but no further. You will need a Lion DVD install disk however.
