Ventura 13.4.1 update has literally STOPPED my internet connection

Ventura 13.4.1 update has literally STOPPED my internet connection. My computer is incredibly slow and I have cleared cache, restarted computer, turned wifi on/off several times, checked wifi connection, and more. HELP!! This is TERRIBLE. I want to go back to the old version.

Hi there JPY1,

Thank you for posting to Apple Support Communities.

We understand that your MacBook Pro is slow and your Wi-Fi is not working. Is that correct?

We're happy to help. It sounds like you've done some great troubleshooting on your own. Apple has a couple good support articles that may be of help:

If your Mac runs slowly - Apple Support

If you continue to have an issue after checking through those articles, we then recommend contacting Apple Support for additional help: Get Support

Take care.

so it's more that the pages in safari won't load since the update I just did for Ventura. Or, they get stuck/frozen. Everything else on my computer works fine. I don't have storage issues and I do use an external hard drive. I have re-booted my wifi and checked all cables.

I can't emphasize enough that everything was absolutely functional at peak performance until I did the upgrade.

Buddy you’re not alone. Thought I was going crazy. The spectrum people think it’s weird too. It’s a software bug that happened THE MOMENT i went to Ventura 13.4.1 specifically on my iMac. they don’t seem to be aware of. I’ve literally had the internet company out and everything. And it’s not affected my gaming pc - no interruption at all in anyway. Just my iMac. And sometimes my phone but I can’t tell bc it will just use phone network if Wi-Fi fails . But I have.l noticed my phone too. So I wonder if it’s iOS devices. Anyways, don’t fret. You’re not crazy.

after my initial response earlier, I'm following up to confirm I am not having the same issue on Safari. It was the last thing I hadn't tested. It's only on Firefox. I assume you too were using Firefox? Try safari if you can. all the exact same symptoms you described I had, and simply switched and this solved it. every page is loading perfectly and as fast as before.

The same thing happened to me and it's been awful...if I knew this would happen I would not have gone through with the update. What's worse is that Apple support is acting like they have never heard of this issue and I'm the only person experiencing this. I have talked to a bunch of Apple Support folks and one finally did something that helped....and now the slowness is back. No other device in my home connected to the same internet is this slow.....

I'm posting in hopes that Apple will begin to pay attention to people reporting this issue and will know how to fix this because it's too frustrating to deal with.
