thank you

Start by understanding that glare and lens flare are usually caused by unwanted light coming directly into the lens, or reflected from a shiny surface like water. It is often made worse by the outside surface of the lens being dirty or scratched. Think about the glare you see when driving directly into a low sun and how you would avoid or reduce the problem.

Hey there Applejojoca,

While this largely depends upon the environment in which you're located, along with the lightning of the environment, we'd like to help however we can. Let's start with ruling out some basics, along with leaning more about what's happening:

  1. You mentioned that there's 'glare' in photos you take on your iPhone, but what exactly did you mean by this? Keep in mind that if you're referring to the camera flare that shows in photos, this is expected behavior for any camera. The more details you provide about what's happening, the better we'll understand the issue occurring.
  2. Sometimes unexpected behavior can be resolved with a restart: Restart your iPhone
  3. If you have a compatible iPhone model, the latest version is iOS 16.5.1. You can verify this within Settings > General > About. In case you needed it, this link shows how to first back up, then update: Update your iPhone or iPad

Cheers!
