Whenever I’m on YouTube changing the video quality or repeating the video back and forth an annoying pop up shows up and pauses my video saying that “Typing isn’t allowed in full screen. Is there any way to disable this?

Hey there Pickles6711,

We’d like to help. As you’re using beta, we recommend submitting feedback using the included Feedback assistant. Betas are meant to be test environments for potential upcoming releases, and may cause unexpected behavior such as what you’re experiencing in the YouTube app.

While we may need to update it to the latest official iPadOS version 16.5.1 as part of troubleshooting, we only recommend that step if needed. Just in case, you can install the latest official iOS version with these steps: How to uninstall iOS or iPadOS beta software Before you install the latest official iPadOS release, we want to rule out some other possible causes for these issues occurring only in the YouTube app:

  1. Sometimes unexpected behavior can be resolved with a restart: Restart your iPhone
  2. We also recommend making sure that all apps are up to date: How to manually update apps on your Apple device

If the issue remains afterwards, you can either continue using iPadOS beta and provide feedback using the Feedback Assistant as mentioned earlier, or you can follow the steps in the first link we shared to continue troubleshooting this. If you decide to install the latest official release, if the issue remains, we recommend one more article that has the steps to take for an app that isn't acting as expected: If an app on your iPhone or iPad stops responding, closes unexpectedly, or won’t open Please keep in mind that one of the last steps would be to contact the app support, this case, YouTube Support.

Cheers!
