Re: "Safari can't find the server, how can this be corrected?"
Sometimes this occurs if the website address isn't perfectly entered, or if a site is not available at the moment.
Else: Things to try:
✽ Quit Safari. Restart your Mac: Apple Menu > Restart. wait .. then log-back in, re-open Safari and re-try.
(deletes temporary files etc ... and will often clear the way )
If hasn't helped:
✽ Try turning off any third-party (non-Apple) software, like unnecessary add-blockers, virus-checkers or the like,
even VPN can cause interference. Sometimes an is no longer compatible, and causes difficulties until updated/
(Use uninstallers from the developer if any are found to cause problems)
If still not working: Browse through Apple Support's article:
what to do: If Safari doesn't open a page or work as expected on your Mac - Apple Support
More info:
Safari troubleshooting on Mac - Apple Support
Else: You might want to check with a particular site's website developers, or support team, to find out which browsers the website is set up for ... sometimes a site may be restricted to perform best only on particular browsers. Occasionally a site is temporarily unavailable, while being updated to a new website.
All the best :-)
