Why do my iPhone photos have strange unknown location data listed as my location

Photos app (Tahoe, iOS 18.6) swapping East & West coordinates for some old photos I have a group of ~200 photos saved in iCloud that were taken in New York and the Bay Area in 2013 (iPhone 4S, iOS 6.1.13) that MacOS & ioS Photos apps are locating in Osh, Kyrgyzstan and the Yellow Sea respectively - clearly swapping East and West coordinates in Places & Memories collections. When I view the EXIF data directly via Preview or ExifWizard, however, the GPS coordinates show the longitude correctly as West of Greenwich. Can anyone explain (and preferably help me fix) this behaviour? Thanks!

Does Photos always include your location? Hello! I don’t quite understand how location ties in with photos. So let’s say I email myself a photo, then grab it from my email on a pc and send it in some chat room, can people use that photo to find out my location? Or do I have to remember to turn off the location switch every time? I ask this because I have sent some photos in the past in some chat rooms with some not very nice people, and I kind of don't want to them to know my location. Also the fact that a friend of mine recently sent me pictures of his trip in the US and I saw his location on every pic. Ok thank you!

Photo locations disappeared after changing region I adjusted my iPhone region and photos taken in the new region lost all the location info. It used to have precise location, now it just says no location. How can I get the location info back? I've tried restarting and it doesn't work.

The Photos are either edited or have been imported from another device.
