If your iPhone 11 is getting hot and glitching, it could indicate a potential issue that needs attention. Here are some possible causes and steps you can take to address the problem:

1. Software-related issues:

a. Update your iPhone: Ensure that your iPhone 11 is running the latest version of iOS. New software updates often include bug fixes and performance improvements that can resolve glitches and overheating problems.

b. Close background apps: Close any unnecessary apps running in the background that might be causing excessive CPU usage and overheating. Double-click the home button (or swipe up from the bottom on iPhone models without a home button) and swipe away the app previews.

2. Overheating due to external factors:

a. Environmental temperature: Excessive heat in the surroundings can affect the temperature of your iPhone. Avoid exposing your device to direct sunlight or extreme temperatures.

b. Remove case or cover: If you're using a case or cover on your iPhone, remove it temporarily. Some cases can hinder heat dissipation, causing the device to get hotter. Observe if the issue persists without the case.

3. Hardware-related issues:

a. Battery health: Check the battery health of your iPhone 11. Go to Settings > Battery > Battery Health. If the Maximum Capacity is significantly degraded, it could impact device performance and contribute to overheating. In such cases, you might need to replace the battery.

b. Faulty apps or updates: Glitches and overheating can sometimes be caused by specific apps or recent updates. Try identifying any recently installed or updated apps that might be causing the problem. Uninstall or update those apps to see if it resolves the issue.

c. Hardware damage: Physical damage or issues with internal components can also lead to overheating and glitches. If you suspect hardware damage, it's advisable to contact Apple Support or visit an authorized service center for further assistance and diagnosis.

4. Reset settings or restore your iPhone:

a. Reset all settings: Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings. This will revert your settings to default without affecting your data. It can help resolve software-related glitches and overheating caused by conflicting settings.

b. Restore your iPhone: If the issue persists, you can try restoring your iPhone 11 using iTunes (for macOS Mojave or earlier) or Finder (for macOS Catalina or later). Make sure to back up your data before performing a restore.
