My default apps stuck on waiting after factory reset

Hi, I recently needed to factory reset my iPhone 11 and when I turned it back on, all the backup apps were working fine i.e, instagram, facebook, etc. but my default apps like Contacts, Maps, etc they are stuck on waiting. When i try to download them it says “Unable to install Contacts. Please try again later.”

I have tried following solutions:

Restarting my phone

Resetting my phone(even with no icloud login)

Using a different icloud account

Checking for update

Please let me know how can i fix this. I am so much upset about it.

iPhone 11, iOS 16

Hey there iumairshuja,

As it's only recommended to use one Apple ID on your iPhone, signing into a different one isn't a suggested troubleshooting step we suggest taking for this issue. Before continuing, we recommend making sure to sign into the Apple ID you'd like to use going forward. Afterwards, we'd like to help by ruling out some possible causes, along with learning more about what's happening:

  1. You mentioned performing a 'factory reset' of your iPhone, but did you mean you restored it using a computer? If you did restore it using a computer, let us also know if you restored it from a backup.
  2. How much time has passed since you last performed a 'factory reset' of your iPhone, and have any of the affected apps stopped showing 'Waiting' after some time passed?
  3. While we see iOS 16 is installed, the latest version is iOS 16.5.1. You can verify this within Settings > General > About. In case you needed it, this link shows how to first back up, then update: Update your iPhone or iPad

Cheers!
