When using apple carplay my watch gets no notifications

This doesn’t seem to work for me…

My notifications are already set as suggested above but still I don’t get the notification on my Apple Watch?

The only reason I want/ need this is because for some reason my CarPlay no longer makes a sound when a notification comes through so if I’m not looking at the display at that particular moment in time I never know about it 😞 I’ve checked my other settings and they all appear to be ok so unsure why it doesn’t make a noise anymore but a notification on my watch that I can quickly glance at then if need be, go to the relevant app on my CarPlay to read it it would be great.

I am having the same issue. I get the display notification of text messages but not the sound. It's not safe, I should not have to look at my screen for me to know if I have a message. PLEASE help!!
