Hi AndreasHaagerup,

Wondering if you are seeing the new ringtone in the list of ringtones you can choose, or not.

Apple support's online article may help:

How to: Change iPhone sounds and vibrations - Apple Support

______________________________________________________

If you need more help:

The "Related Article" above your question may guide you:

    1. Go to Settings > Sounds & Haptics.
    2. Under Sounds and Haptic Patterns, tap the sound that you want to change.
    3. Tap a ringtone or alert tone to hear it and set it as the new sound.

If the new ringtone does not appear in the list:

(1) If you bought the ringtone from iTiunes, you may need to "redownload" the purchase.

(ie: See "Redownload ringtones purchased with your Apple ID" in the "Related article above)

If you still need help:

(2) If it is a custom-made ringtone, the ringtone may need to be of suitable length, ie: not too long.

(The Garageband iOS app can import files, you can then shorten and export them as ringtones if needed)

Eg: How to: Import a song from the Music app into GarageBand for iPhone - Apple Support

and

Scroll down to: "Share a GarageBand song as a ringtone or text tone":

(ie: for info on exporting completed ringtones), in Apple Support's article:

Share songs with GarageBand for iPhone - Apple Support
