Removing devices
How can I remove a device that is grayed out in iTunes? The devices are no longer mine so please do NOT say "Log in from that device". The devices were wiped clean and either sold, given away or disposed of.

They might still be lingering in iCloud. See: Remove a device from Find Devices on iCloud.com - Apple Support
I’ve also removed old ones I no longer use and had cleared from my iPhone in settings - your name, scroll down to view devices, tap on the item and remove > from that.
