my ipod classic wont download certain music and movies

You cannot put content from the Apple Music service on an iPod classic, and most modern videos are likely at too high a bitrate for it. What exactly happens when you try?

That is not true.

Although the iPod is not "supported by Apple", there continues to be support here, that in many cases, can solve issues.

You can still add music to iPods, although some older models can no longer download directly from the iTunes Store. For those older models, one uses iTunes (on PCs and older Macs) or Finder on newer Macs.

The only way around this is to track down an older version of iTunes, install that on your PC, don't let it update, add your own music and video files that you've gotten from sources other than Apple, and then upload them to your iPod.

Thanks! I had an iPod classic and couldn't get iTunes to sync to it, so I uninstalled it and installed an older version and it worked. But since then the iPod classic stopped working.

However, I have been having issues with the latest version of iTUnes for PC for the past couple years that haven't been resolved. So maybe it is supposed to be able to sync to iPods, but I can't get it to work. It won't even play videos I've purchased from Apple on my computer. I've tried several things including installing iTunes on different computers but to no avail. Hopefully either I'll figure out what I did wrong or Apple will fix it.
