logitech k380 keyboard not working

i’ve recently gotten a logitech k380 keyboard and it’s been working fine until today. when i tried to connect it to my ipad via bluetooth, it simply selects the 3 dots at the top of my screen and i can’t type anything. my settings show that it is connected to my ipad. i’ve tried switching my keyboard on and off multiple times, and even reconnecting it using the switch keys but nothing seems to work. how could i solve this?

Hello mfducks,

We have a great support article that might help with this. Please take a look at it here: Connect a Bluetooth device with your Mac - Apple Support. Follow this guidance:

    1. "Make sure the device is turned on and discoverable (see the device’s documentation for details).
    2. On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Settings, then click Bluetooth in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.)
    3. Hold the pointer over the device in the list, then click Connect.
    4. If asked, click Accept (or enter a series of numbers, then press Enter).

You can also connect a Bluetooth device to your Mac by clicking the Bluetooth status icon in the menu bar and choosing the device. If the icon isn’t shown in the menu bar, you can add it using Control Center settings."

Additionally, wireless interference can sometimes bring about unexpected behavior with your wireless device. Learn more about that here: Resolve Wi-Fi and Bluetooth issues caused by wireless interference - Apple Support.

If the issue persists, further assistance may be needed. We want to make sure you reach the right team for help with your Mac and keyboard, so we recommend that you contact Apple Support directly. Depending on your region, you may be able to reach them here: Get Support - Apple.

Thank you for participating in the Apple Support Communities and have a wonderful day.
