AMDRadeonAccelerator driver returns false

My MacBook Pro 2018 with Ventura or other OS version is freezing a lot, sometimes it reboots straight after the login process and shows the error bellow.

I run offline diagnostics and on a iStore the staff also run the diagnostic and it always says no issues.

Please can some one Help??

Thanks

Watchdog timers are set when a task kicks off some work that should complete and report back asynchronously, perhaps a long time (milliseconds) later.

That watchdog timer fired because WindowServer failed to check back in after a very long time (looks like 120 seconds -- an eternity.)

That supports the hypothesis that there is a subtle graphics Hardware flaw.

Hello I have exactly same problem and as I understand maybe same mac config, did you find a solution ?

My MacBook seems to crash more often when I am using Figma or Safari, but it is random and can also be when I am not doing anything at all

CONFIG:

-MacBook Pro 15,4 2018

-2,6 GHz Intel Core i7

-Radeon Pro 560X 4 Go

Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 Mo + 16 Go 2400 MHz DDR4

-Ventura 13.5 (22G74)

I tried:

-reset SMC

-reset RAM

-safety mode

-erase + clean Ventura install

-erase cache

-autorisations repair

-even a tool to check the .kexts

If it comes from the .kexts which is possible, am thinking to try again, erase everything, and downgrade from Ventura to Monterey

And, count me in with the exact same problem and configuration boat. I did got the Genius Bar and they did run the diagnostics. They also tried to boot into a "Guest OS" but said they got stuck in a boot failure loop. They asked if they could keep the computer for a week, but I needed to go home and make a full backup. That's where I am right now. I was thinking it was a graphics card failure due to the error reports always showing something to do with the AMD graphics card, but with all of us having the exact same symptoms, I'm not more suspicious of a driver issue. None the less, I do have Apple Care so I'll give them my machine for a week and see what they come up with. Have any of you made any progress on this?

Sorry that you are in that situation. My only solution was to wait for a repair, which could cost between 500€ - 800€, or buy another computer. An Apple support representative told me that since the problem is not really clear, it could end up being more expensive than the values I mentioned. So, I bought another computer from the same year, and guess what happened? The computer came with the same problem. Fortunately, it was an online purchase, and I had 30 days to return it. Now I have another one from 2019, and so far, it's working fine.

Unfortunately, welcome to the Apple world, where the items are extremely expensive and full of bugs and problems. However, as a developer, to build apps, they only allow it using their devices.

At least with this problem, even though the solution wasn't what I would have liked, I can say that their staff and support are very good compared to other companies.

My MBP 2018 kept freezing and crashing randomly after upgrading to Ventura. It went on for many frustrating months. Eventually, I try reinstalling Ventura and that seems to help. I tried the following and hope it helps you too:

  1. Downloaded Ventura 13.6 from App Store.
  2. Disabled Find My Mac.
  3. Disabled FileVault Disk Encryption. I had to use command line, sudo fdesetup disable.
  4. Restarted the the laptop and flushed NVRAM, by pressing the keys Option, Command, P, and R.
  5. When the chime went off the second time in the step above, I logged into Recovery system, by pressing the keys Command and R. In the Recovery system, I selected Reinstall macOS Ventura, and completed the reinstallation.
  6. After the reinstallation, I enabled Find My Mac and FileVault again.

<<. The only way for my computers to work with this problem is connected to external screens. >>

Wait, what?

When you connect an external display, the graphics subsystem switches to Discrete-graphics-only for all displays. The intel Integrated GPU is left idle.

This could be a very strong clue about where there problem lies. I do not think this is a design issue inherent in this model Mac, but it is certainly possible that there are several users with similar FAILURES.

If connecting an external display makes the issue disappear, that adds weight to the suggestion that the Internal Intel GPU has failed.
