iPhone not automatically backing up

I have an iPhone 14 Pro, running on iOS 16. It is not automatically backing up overnight. The screen is locked, it’s plugged in, plenty of room on the cloud, set to back up over cellular, has a strong cellular signal. This is a recent problem that started in April 2023, after having the phone for six months. I know how to do the back up now feature, but that one time I forget, it’s going to be the time that Something Happens and I won’t have that back up that I need. Anyone have any suggestions?

By default, iCloud backups are set to occur automatically when certain conditions are met, such as when your device is connected to Wi-Fi, charging, and locked. However, you can manually disable automatic iCloud backups on your device. If you disable automatic backups, it means your device will no longer back up to iCloud automatically under the default settings. Instead, you'll need to initiate manual backups whenever you want to save your data to iCloud.

It's important to note that disabling automatic iCloud backups doesn't mean your device won't be backed up at all. You can still manually back up your device to iCloud or use alternative backup methods, such as backing up to a computer using iTunes or Finder.
