Why is this, and how to correct so that I can shop Macy’s online?

Yeah, but the problem is that the website is doing this on ALL browsers, not just Mac. So it isn't a Mac/Apple issue.

Did you try all the suggestions recommended by Drew_7?

The reason for asking is that Macys.com works just fine on this Mac. It may be a temporary condition.
