Outlook import export greyed out

Hello all,

I have an iMac (Apple M1) running Ventura 13.4.1. It's about 6 months old. I have Office 365 installed with the apps. I have not used Outlook on this Mac prior to now.

Outlook will not allow me to import an email address (Windows) file that a colleague shared. I have yet to find a fix for this online. Both the Import/Export options are greyed out. I have tried dragging it from the email to the contacts tab, saving it to the desktop, and then dragging it. No luck.

If you have any ideas or solutions I would appreciate the help!

Thank you,

Robbin

Click the OUTLOOK menu in the upper left corner of your screen (next to the apple) > click on where it says (NEW OUTLOOK) in the list with the check next to it. This will switch the interface back to the traditional, classic look of Outlook. You might need to re-add your email account but after setup magically the options are no longer greyed out.
