Apple Lightning to 3.5mm headphone adapter not working with volume buttons on headphones

Same thing , PAUSE / PLAY work but not the volume UP / DOWN , they do work on a normal android phone but not through the 3.5 mm Adapter. So the problem isn't my earbuds or yours , the problem is indeed the adapter itself, the question can it be updated though? ..

Also I had problems with volume , disabling Siri seems to have fixed the problem, not sure yet though , i tried buying another adapter from Amazon (not from Apple but from a third brand) , The controls work just fine , the volume is also much louder..

However when you get a call , the sound doesn't go through the earphones but through the phone speakers because it isn't recognized as a genuine apple headphones but as unkown source in the AirPlay menu.
