iWatch telling me update is available
I have automatic updates turned off yet my watch is still checking and I get a notification each morning an update is available. It should only check for updates when I manually check for updates.
Turning off Automatic Updates simply means you won't automatically be updated. It doesn't to my knowledge mean you won't get an alert that an update is available. It's often not a good idea to update your devices when updates are available. Yes, new features may be released, but MORE importantly, updates fix issues and provide security updates which protect you. Your choice of course, but I don't think you can stop your watch from letting you know an update is available. Whether you install it or don't is up to you.
