Is it safe to charge iPhone using the MacBook adapter ?

So I just got a brand new iPhone 14 Pro Max, but I haven't bought the power adapter yet (as you already know, it doesn't come in the box)

And I don't have an original iPhone power adapter since I came from Android, so I tried using the my MacBook's adapter to charge it, but I noticed that it makes the iPhone heat up too much which made me a little concerned

So I just wanna know if it's safe or if it may affect the iPhone's battery or something ?

Hi there Pinkyyy332,

Using your MacBook adapter to charge your iPhone shouldn't affect it.

You can use the Apple 12W USB Power Adapter to charge your iPad, iPhone, Apple Watch, and other Apple accessories, like AirPods and Siri Remote. Just connect your device to the power adapter with the USB to Lightning cable, or Apple Watch charger that came with your device.
