Can’t accept new iCloud Terms and Conditions

In Settings, I have an item saying that there are new iCloud terms and conditions to accept.


When I accept these conditions, there is a pause and it loops back to the same screen and the “new terms and conditions” statement never goes away.


it’s as if something isn’t accepting my acceptance of the terms and conditions.


this is becoming very frustrating!

We can understand wanting to bypass this Terms & Conditions screen.


If you have not tried already, Restart your iPhone - Apple Support by following these steps:


How to restart your iPhone X, 11, 12, 13, or later

1. Press and hold either volume button and the side button until the power-off slider appears.
2. Drag the slider, then wait 30 seconds for your device to turn off. If your device is frozen or unresponsive, force restart your device.
3. To turn your device back on, press and hold the side button (on the right side of your iPhone) until you see the Apple logo.


If this does not help to correct the issue, you'll want to reach out to Apple Support directly for further assistance with this issue. You can reach out to them by clicking here: Contact - Official Apple Support or over the phone by calling the number that is most local to your region: Contact Apple for support and service - Apple Support.

Thank you for your response.

It’s not that I am trying or wanting to

bypass the Terms & Conditions page, I am 100% willing to accept them and have attempted to do so on dozens of occasions.


What I do want to happen (and should happen) is that when I click to accept them, the warning that says I have to agree to them goes away and the little number 1 on my settings app disappears.


I have now tried the Reset option described but with no success.


Looks like I have to contact support.


I hope they can help, as the Geniuses at the Apple Store couldn’t :-(.

Thanks for your reply.

I contacted support via chat and unfortunately they couldn’t fix it.

I was put through to phone support and eventually got it sorted.


I have 3 iCloud accounts logged in to on my phone (mine and my 2 children’s, for calendars).


I was instructed to sign out of the children’s accounts. As soo as I did that, the terms and conditions notification disappeared!


I have now signed back in to the 2 extra accounts and the notification is still away.


fingers crossed it strays away!
