Went skydiving the other day and the mechanical altimeter read 10,500’ while the altimeter on Watch Ultra was stuck at 6,800’. Fortunately wasn’t relying on the Apple Watch. It was just incredibly disappointing that it is so inaccurate! Anyone else have this issue?

I recently purchased the Ultra 2. I like it very much aside from the elevation acts strange. It sometimes is close to what my iphone reads and other times can be way off. At my desk my phone will usuallyl read 20 ft. The watch wull read as high as 50/60 feet!!!! I have the latest software on both the phone and watch. I am hoping OS 10.1 will address this bug. There are quite a few reports about the Ultra 1 &2 experiencing this. I would not risk anything requiring elevation accuracy at this stage!
Were you in a sealed cabin when you were taking this reading?
What did the altimeter in the paired iPhone say?

I have this problem now on my ultra 1 after update to watch os 10.2
I have also experienced inaccurate altimeter readings on my Ultra 2 watch running 10.2. Actual reading was 11,895m and on the watch it was showing ~+1,632M. When will Apple release a fix for this?
Well I was skydiving and not really able to look at the phone. Besides, I’m not sure what the relevance is since the Apple Ultra is supposed to independently operate.
