since we’ve switched iPhones, Apple Pay doesn’t work. The card are registered correctly it says but paying with them doesn’t work.

What happens when you try to pay? Where the cards removed from the other device, the one you switched from? Have you contacted the cards involved? Apple Pay doesn’t approve or decline transactions, only your bank(s) can approve or decline a charge.
How many transaction terminals have you tried using Apple Pay with? Just the one, or multiple locations? It’s certainly possible (though not likely) that the NFC (Near Field Communication) chip or antennae is damaged. Is it a new iPhone under warranty?
Dear Jeff, thanks for your reply. In the previous situation before switching the Cards worked without any problem in Apple Pay. After choosing the specificatie card in Apple Pay and holding the Phone above the payment device nothing seems to happen where normally the phone gives A signal the that there was contact between the devices.
