Apple Watch pairing issues

Hello, I have a problem with my new Apple Watch, I just bought it today, it says it works with iOS 16 and newer, and I have an iPhone 12 on iOS 16.2, but when I try to pair them both, it’s says my iPhone is out of date, I already rebooted them both more than 3 times

and I have an iPhone 12 on iOS 16.2,

Update your iPhone to iOS 16.5.1.

You need about 8 GB device storage and good Service and/or Wi-Fi.

If they are On, turn Off Hotspot & VPN.

Charge the battery > 70%.

Go to Settings -> General -> Software Update -> Download and Install.
