Hello johnchrysostom,
We'd be happy to provide you with some information. If you'd like to set up auto-rotate wallpapers to cycle through multiple desktop pictures or colors you can learn how to do that here: Customize the desktop picture on your Mac - Apple Support
If that's not working, we recommend that you try to resolve the issue by completing the following steps:
Restart your Mac: Ways to start up your Mac - Apple Support
Update your Mac: Update macOS on Mac - Apple Support
Thanks.
I've been having the same problem for a month now. Currently running 13.4.1 (c). I should have noted which update broke the Auto-Rotate feature, but I suspect it was 13.4
I have various folders I use for wallpapers, some with under 50 images, some with thousands, and all of them fail to cycle.
Restarting initially solves the problem for under an hour before failing to Auto-Rotate again.
Choosing a different folder does not help. Thanks for your help.
That advice is no help at all for those of us that know our way around our Macs. Most all of the answers given on these pages are with the novice user in mind. I've asked only a few questions, none of which have been answered. In fact, I'm going to ask another one after I post this. I doubt anyone will have a good answer to the problem. Too often, advice givers neither listen or read the details of an entire question, they jump to conclusions and give tons of advice about procedures and pathways that the informed mac user already knows about.
....just SOOOO not helpful, oh and been there and tried both of the (ACE1018) options. Perhaps 3T is TOO BIG
