I’m at a resort in the DR, and the lighting in the hotel room has been pretty dim. The screen on my Mac, which was working fine yesterday, suddenly stopped working after being left in the charger overnight. Is it possible faulty wiring in the hotel room might have shorted something in the screen?

Would it change anything if there were lightning strikes going on last night? Haha
