My phone keeps going into sos mode

My iPhone X goes into SOS mode every now and then. I turn on and off airplane mode. That works for my problem.

BUT WHY IS THIS HAPPENING?????

My 2 boys iPhone 13s did this exact same thing. Took it to the Apple store they said the phone needed replaced. Took them to Verizon they said they needed a new SIM card. I resolved the issue by using the esim that is built into the phone. Remove the traditional sim and have your carrier send you the link in your email to use the esim in your phone. Issue was solved immediately.
