Does my macboks air m2 screen support HDR video in TV+ content? How do I disable HDR video streams in TV+ shows? thx

TV app on mac playback video quality is only 720p for 1080 or 4k files When playing back files that are clearly HD/1080p or 4K, the only option for video quality is defaulted at 720p. 4K & HDR Streaming on Macbook It is almost 2024, and I cannot believe that we still cannot watch 4K and Dolby Vision (and other HDR formats) content on streaming platforms like HBO Max and Disney +. So far, Netflix is the only platform that allows it. I just feel bad, because I have the Macbook Pro 16” with M1 Pro and I cannot use the stunning high quality display to its fullest potential. I know there are methods to unlock this feature like watching it on AirPlay from your iPhone or iPad, but that’s not the point.

Watch 4K movies in the Apple TV app on MacBook Pro When I try to watch a 4K HDR (Dolby Vision) movie on my MacBook Pro (2023), I'm limited to 1080p (and even 720p by default), even though the app's streaming settings are set to 4K. How can I watch movies in full 4K HDR on my MacBook's built-in display in the Apple TV app, and is it even possible?

Not sure, but http://www.everymac.com should be able to tell you that.
