The Sync Library button cannot be disabled on my iPhone. When I slide it to the left to disable sync then it just slides back to the right and remains enabled. The phone is running iOS 16.5.1.

I cannot turn off Cloud music library. This prevents my phone from syncing music from my computer to the phone. I do not purchase music from iTunes, all my music is imported from CDs. This used to work fine for years and years and was broken about 4 days ago.

Hi picas, I did try closing the app but that didn't help. Finally restarting the phone solved this part of the problem. After restart the Settings->Music doesn't even offer a button to disable sync. So the GUI changed with the update to iOS 16.5.1 and Finder on Mac would finally allow me to try to sync music to the phone. That's good.

But, I found a new problem when choosing music to sync to the phone. It will only sync changes that you make to selected artists and albums. I had to deselect all the music that was selected, then sync. Then go back and select all the music that I wanted and sync again. Finally I had my music on my phone again. This is with Ventura 13.4.1 and iOS 16.5.1. This was my most frustrating experience with these products.
