setup autoforwarding from virginmedia to iCloud mail

how can I setup autoforwarding virginmedia emails to my iCloud email as I can send and receive mail through virginmedia on my MacBook Pro and my old iPhone. I backed up my phone to iCloud before I put it in for trade in for my new apple pro max but when the setup my new phone from the backup I found I can't send or receive mail from virginmedia .

“Auto forwarding” is the wrong approach, as that approach is one-directional. For example, auto forwarding mail from Virgin Media to iCloud affects only incoming mail.


The proper approach is setting up your Virgin Media email as an account in Apple’s Mail app. Here are two articles to guide you.

thanks I have setup the virginmedia account up on my phone but I the message account error that reads cannot get mail wrong password provided .

I have been in touch with virgin media they say my account password has been stoped as I no longer use virginmedia they are allowing me to use my email for a short time but won't allow access to the account so I am unable to set it up on a new phone so I will use iCloud
