I can"t get my apple tv to work after creating a new apple id and signing in?

Apple TV+ is a subscription based service. You may need to subscribe with your new Apple ID in order to see Apple TV+ content. This quick tip will help you subscribe.

Subscribe to Apple TV+

1. Open the Apple TV app  on your Mac.

2. Click Watch Now.

3. Scroll down to view Apple TV channels, then select Apple TV+.

4. Click the subscription button, then follow the onscreen instructions.

If you already have an Apple ID, you can sign in to start your free trial.

When you sign in with another Apple ID, you lose access to all purchases associated with the previous Apple ID. To access your subscriptions, you would need to sign in with the Apple ID they were purchased under, or cancel them and purchase them again under the new Apple ID. There is no way to merge Apple IDs.

Even if the email address that you used for your old Apple ID is inactive, it is likely that your old Apple ID still active.

If your old Apple ID is still active, you can associate a new active email address to it.

1. Go to appleid.apple.com and sign in.
2. In the Sign-In and Security section, choose Apple ID.
3. Enter the email address that you want to use as your Apple ID.
4. Choose Change Apple ID.
5. If you changed your Apple ID to a third-party email address, check your email for a verification code, then enter the code. Learn what to do if you didn't get the email.
6. If you use services like iCloud or Messages to share with friends and colleagues, sign in to those services with your updated Apple ID.
