Hello Barton_TT,

Android users can join in a FaceTime call if it was set up by an Apple device. This article explains more about that process: Join a FaceTime call from an Android or Windows device - Apple Support. You can also join in a FaceTime call on the web, which is explained in the above linked article as well.

As far as screen sharing (explained here: Share your screen in FaceTime on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support) that does require an iPhone or iPad.
