Screen malfunction caused by keyboard controls

My cat walked over my keyboard and now the bottom quarter of my screen is glitching with horizontal lines. I was not able to see what my cat selected, but the laptop did not suffer any other damages so I am very confused as to why this is occurring and how to solve the issue.

MacBook Air, macOS 12.6

You need to have the damage evaluated by Apple; use the support link in the lower left corner of this page to start a repair ticket.
