Apple Id Change on a single device

I just got a MAC Studio PC and I setup a new Apple ID for it. My phone is a company provided phone, so I didn't want my home PC on the same Appleid as my work phone. But I already had my personal Ipad that I own on the same Apple ID as my company phone. So 1.) Can i change just my Ipad to use the same Appleid as my PC? Or is it safe to share my Appleid across my personal and work devices, and a better way to go? If so, would I just change my Apple ID on my new PC, and what problems may that cause?

Hi masan05,

If we understand correctly, you have a question about using two Apple IDs. It would ultimately depend on what works best for you and your usage. You could sign in with a different Apple ID on either device, but you'd want to keep in mind that purchases made with one Apple ID cannot be transferred to another, and you wouldn't be able to access iCloud content from the Apple ID you're no longer signed in with.

If you did want to sign out of the Apple ID on your iPad, you'd do that under Settings > [name] > iCloud and/or Settings > [name] > Media & Purchases, depending on your overall goal.

Before you make any changes to your Apple ID, if you're syncing contents with iCloud, you might want to review this guide to Archive or make copies of the information you store in iCloud.

Take care.
