Keynote presenter notes keep reverting to the copy of one slide

Thanks for replying, i will give more details. I am creating a keynote presentation and write quite a bit of copy in each the presenter notes which I will later edit down. Then i see that the copy I wrote for one slide has populated to all the presenter notes in that presentation. I came to the Apple Community and saw that others were having the problem and how to "fix" it by locating an earlier version on the presentation which has the correct copy and so I have "followed the directions". But I have had to do that twice. I am trying to find out the cause and how to prevent it from happening again. Thanks.
