You've tried some great steps already! We'd like to help rule out some other possible causes, along with learning more about what's happening:

1. When did it start to not recognize keyboard inputs, aside from the Spacebar/Return keys?
2. Sometimes unexpected behavior can be resolved with a restart: Restart your iPad
3. We see you have iPadOS 16 installed, but the latest version is iPadOS 16.5.1. You can verify this within Settings > General > About. In case you needed it, this link shows how to first back up, then update: Update your iPhone or iPad
