Apple Music

My music keeps pausing throughout my music, in both my headphones for unknown reasons, why is that?

It will also skip over songs or just randomly go silent for 10-20 minutes and then start a next one

Hi kemesha259,

Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communities. First, it may be best to check whether this is network related. You can do that by connecting to another Wi-Fi network. Or if Wi-Fi isn't available, try playing a downloaded song if you are an Apple Music subscriber and see if the same occurs there. The following is from View albums, playlists, and more in Music on iPhone - Apple Support and can help you find downloaded songs.

"Browse and play your music

  1. In the Music app, tap Library, then tap a category, such as Albums or Songs; tap Downloaded to view only music stored on iPhone.
  2. Scroll to browse or swipe down the page and type in the search field to filter your results and find what you’re looking for."

If this happens with downloaded music or on all networks you've tried, you can troubleshoot the Music app itself using these steps from If an app on your iPhone or iPad stops responding, closes unexpectedly, or won’t open - Apple Support. Relevant steps are as follows.

"1 Close and reopen the app

Force the app to close. Then open the app to see if it works as expected.

2 Restart your device

Restart your iPhone or restart your iPad. Then open the app to see if it works as expected.

3 Check for updates

To see if updates are available for the app, open the App Store, tap your profile icon, then scroll down to see if updates are available. If updates aren't available for the app, update the software on your iPhone or iPad."

Kind regards.
