How can I import an edited photo from my MacBook photos to use as a wallpaper on my IPhone?

I edited a photo on my laptop to use on my phone as a Wallpaper but I can't see it on my iPhone 6s. Both my devices have the latest os installations.

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 13.4

I've found a workaround: I opened the pic in Photos, took a photo of it with my phone so that is good enough for my purpose. I would still like to know how to do it if there is another way.

this is an iPhone question...(?)

Yes, it received the latest software OS update for this old model today: 15.7.7. Apparently, there are some things it can't do but that doesn't bother me as I haven't a clue as to what I'm missing. Apple sold it to me as new in September 2021 as a replacement for my old one which had sustained irreparable damage. For me, a small phone is welcome although those big new phones are wantable.
